Vacation 2016, Phillies Phans Phor A Day

After seeing minor league, Cape Cod League, and little league baseball, today was the only time on our trip where we got to see Major League baseball.  We drove from Harrisburg to Philadelphia, checked into our hotel, and then took the SEPTA (subway) to Citizens Bank Park.
The last time Abby and Chris went to a Phillies game, the team still played at the dreadful Vet, but Ava got to enjoy the glory and splendor of the new ballpark which has at least three types of cheesesteaks including Tony Luke's as well as Rita's Ice and Turkey Hill ice cream.
These treats helped us survive the sweltering heat - as did a brief trip to the air conditioned team store - as the temperature rose to a high of 93 degrees.

After a come from behind Phillies win on a homer in the bottom of the 8th inning, we went back to Center City, where Ava got drenched in the fountains outside of City Hall.
Who needs to dry off to enjoy arts and culture?!  We then headed straight for the Philadelphia Museum of Art, which features an interactive, iPad-based learning/scavenger hunt adventure.  Ava enjoyed the museum - and even got her nose out of the iPad to enjoy the art.
After a wonderful Belgian dinner, Ava nearly flooded the bathroom as she had never used a hand-held shower head.
We were able to clean things up while Ava read "What Was the Declaration of Independence?" in preparation for out big day tomorrow.
