A Little Bear in Big Bear

Ava loves the snow so we rented a condo for the weekend in the local mountains with some friends so Ava could play in the snow and learn to ski with a buddy. 

Ava enrolled in Little Bear Ski School at Snow Summit and took an all day lesson where she learned to go straight using "french fry" legs and to slow down and stop using "pizza" legs.

The next day we went inner tubing at the awkwardly named "Alpine Slide at Magic Mountain."  The kids had a blast going down the hill and spinning around in our tubes.

Fun in the New Year

In Orange County, January brings with it warm weather (well, at least stretches of warm weather).  Ava recently took advantage of the great weather to enjoy a day at the beach.

With plenty of new Christmas presents there is no shortage of things to play with at our house.

Santa gave Ava an autograph book for Christmas and she has enjoyed getting autographs from, and taking pictures with, some of her favorite Disney characters. 

We've also enjoyed a family outing to Hollywood to see Jake and the Neverland Pirates and Peter Pan on the big screen, as well as searching out some of our favorite personalities at the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
