UK, Day 5: West End Girl

Despite Ava's concerns, the Easter Bunny did find us 5,500 miles away from home and filled Ava's basket with chocolates and goodies including a MaltEaster (a giant Malteaser shaped like a bunny).
After spreading out throughout Central London over our first few days, we spent almost our entire Easter in the West End, starting with a service at St. Martin-in-the-Field, which featured a great chorus and organ music.
Although we never really went past Covent Garden, Trafalgar Square, Leicester Square, or Piccadilly Circus, we did plenty of walking and exploring.
We stopped at a pub for a traditional Sunday roast before heading back out and about.
The day's main event was Ava's first trip to the National Gallery
From the top of the steps we could look over all the other tourists at Trafalgar Square and down to Big Ben in the distance.
Ava enjoyed the art, giving the museum 4 3/4 stars (out of 5).
While Ava is still too small to climb onto the backs of the lions guarding Nelson's Column, she was still able to climb up to the base for a picture.
Our quest to find Shaun the Sheep continued with our favorite being "Nelson."
We wouldn't normally stop at an American chain whilst in England, but how could we pass up Cadbury Caramel and Cadbury Creme Egg McFlurries?
Shauns were spread all over and all told Ava found another eight sheep for a grand total of 28.
Our last stop in the West End was the obligatory snap at Picadilly Circus before heading back to Russell Square.
After another stop for Ava to play at Coram's Field we had a nice dinner at Ciao Bella where we were served by real Italian waiters and spotted/overheard a number of Italian diners.
On the short walk back to our flat we stopped so Abby could see her old apartment building.
Hopefully Ava will be raring to go tomorrow as we meet up with friends at the Natural History Museum and the V&A.
